TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following terms apply to makeup services delivered by Tamara Brown – Makeup Artist ABN: 25 423 740 141 to you. By booking any service provided by Tamara Brown – Makeup Artist you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

SPECIAL OCCASION/SINGLE MAKEUP SERVICE:

Special occasion or single makeup service bookings are to be booked through my online booking system. Bookings can be made instantly online up to 24 hours beforehand pending availability. All bookings will take place at my private home studio in Mackay, QLD.

To secure your appointment a $50.00 non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee is to be paid (this will be deducted from your total amount payable on the day). Only upon receipt of this payment is your booking confirmed and appointment time locked in. Dates cannot be held without a booking fee and are secured on a first in, first served basis.

Cancellations can be made up to 48 hours beforehand without additional fees being charged, if a cancellation is made within 48-hour window of your appointment, a 50% fee of the total price will be charged to your account. If you do not show up for your appointment as scheduled, you will be charged 100% of the total service price.

PAYMENT

Payment for single service events is to be made on the day of your appointment with cash or via direct debit with proof of payment receipt, prior to your appointment. No refunds will be given once service has taken place and payment has been received.

For mobile group bookings, once initial size of group and price is agreed upon, no reduction in numbers will be accepted and quoted price will remain. Payment in full must be paid via bank transfer no less than 48 hours before booking date, or with cash at the time of the appointment.

WEDDING TERMS

To secure your wedding date a $100.00 non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee is to be paid. Only upon receipt of this payment is your booking confirmed and wedding date locked in. Dates cannot be held without a booking fee and are secured on a first in, first served basis.

The booking fee will be deducted from the remaining balance which is invoiced one (1) month before your wedding date and due no later than seven (7) days before your wedding date if payment is to be made via direct debit. Alternately, cash payment can be made on the day.

I makeup trial is recommended, but not compulsory. It is recommended that your trial take place no sooner than 3 months prior to the wedding date to ensure the products within my kit remain the same and the trends are current.

Trials are conducted out of my home studio and are unable to be conducted as mobile bookings. Trials can be booked Friday – Sunday (pending availability and generally excluding Saturdays due to high demand for wedding and event bookings.)

All mobile bridal bookings will attract a travel fee dependent on location and will be quoted on a case-by-case basis.

Any expense incurred as a result of parking fees associated with wedding location (this does not include parking fines – simply fees such as car parks, street parking etc) are the responsibility of the client and will be passed on as such.

No minimum amount of people in a wedding party is required in order to book a mobile bridal booking with Tamara Brown – Makeup Artist, however there is a minimum amount payable in order for mobile bookings to take place.

If the amount of services booked including travel fee amounts to less than this minimum, the amount will then be brought up to meet the required minimum.

If you cancel your booking within sixty (60) days of your wedding date you will be invoiced 50% of your final balance to cover administrative fees and loss of income due to not being able to book other work on your wedding date.

In the unfortunate event that you need to reschedule or cancel your wedding and it is unrelated to any Government lockdowns, mandates or restrictions (including vaccination status of yourself, guests or other wedding vendors), your booking fee is unable to be transferred to a new date and the above cancellation policy will apply. Booking fees in this instance will not be held in credit or refunded under any circumstance.

In the unfortunate even that you need to reschedule or cancel your wedding and it is related to Government lockdowns, mandates or restrictions (not including vaccination status of yourself, guests or other wedding vendors), your booking fee is able to be transferred to a new date subject to my availability. If I am unavailable on your new date you will forfeit your deposit and under no circumstance, will it be held in credit or refunded.

If for any reason I am no longer available to service your wedding date, I will communicate this change with you immediately and refund any booking fee or balance paid in full.

Once the booking fee has been paid and the wedding date is secured, the quote given will be the minimum balance charged on the day. If you wish to add additional people to the booking for makeup, this may be done prior to the day if availability and timing allows. If the number of people requiring makeup on the day reduces, the full balance on your initial quote/invoice will not be reduced and charged in full.

Any changes to your wedding getting ready location or requirement of an earlier start may incur additional travel and/or parking costs and early start fees that weren’t initially quoted. Please ensure to communicate any changes immediately.

PERSONAL INFORMATION/PHOTOGRAPHS

On the day of your makeup application I reserve the right to take behind the scenes photos and/or video. Please ensure to communicate with me if you do not wish for anything to be posted to social media. I agree to credit your other wedding vendors, such as hairstylist, photographer, dress designer etc. and please ask that this courtesy be returned.

I (Tamara Brown) require information on whether you, as my client, has allergies. In no event shall I (Tamara Brown) have any liability for incidental, or consequential damages however characterised, including but not limited to allergic reactions, eczema, sensitive skin and eyes, breakouts or rashes. I also cannot conduct any makeup service on a person/s with active or healing cold sores.

Should there be any outbreaks of Covid-19 (or illness/viruses alike) at the time of your trial or wedding booking I (Tamara Brown) am within my right as a business owner and may request you and your entire bridal party to provide a negative Rapid Antigen Test as proof you are not unwell and contagious during your booking. Tests must be purchased at your own cost and results sent to me the morning of your booking before arrival. Should your test be positive I (Tamara Brown) cannot service your booking and any funds paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.

As my client you agree to disclose if you have any contagious skin infections (including but not limited to: cold sores/herpes, conjunctivitis, thrush) ahead of your makeup appointment. You also agree to disclose if you are sick with any other contagious illness (including but not limited to: Covid-19, flu, common cold, shingles) that compromises my health and the hygiene of my makeup kit. You understand that at any stage during these infections or illnesses I cannot hygienically perform a makeup application on you.

By paying a booking fee and securing your wedding or event appointment/booking you are acknowledging that you understand and agree to all of the above Terms & Conditions.
